Synopsis

Animals are able to develop sophisticated forms of language. Each animal species resorts to them according to its specific physical abilities and sensory perception skills. Through these forms of language, they both sense and interact with the world that surrounds them. They all build their relation to the world based on their sensory structure, which we are almost completely oblivious to. Can we nevertheless communicate with them? Our second episode explores human-animal communication and its various forms. Here we have a dog reading a man’s face and posture, there we have an ape asking questions in sign language. This is a Holy Grail for scientists: design softwares that enable a common language between humans and animals. What for? Get to actually communicate with them, understand what they think of us, what they have to tell us about their world.
