The adventure of the beachcomber
This is an unusual journey, a journey that recounts British Columbia : the journey of a log, from the forest to the sawmill. We will come accross a lumberjack who cuts down thousand-year-old trees in perilous conditions. The captain of a tugboat which drags a raft made of 30000 tons of wood. A beachcomber, a kind of see scrap merchant who lives on logs he collects on the shore. Operators who manoeuver kind of roly-poly boats to bring the wood to the sawmill. And everywhere is the ocean. Because in British Columbia, wood and see are closely intertwined.
