The wave Cowboys: Rodeo in the Iroise Sea

Synopsis

It is a kind of rodeo on the surf, except that any fall is fatal. The action takes place in the middle of the Iroise Sea, off the islands of Sein and Ushant, where the Atlantic waves finish their headlong rush by battling with the tidal currents. We spent a hellish day following two reckless solo sailors: Jean and Mik. Each with their own style, they ride their ultra-powerful mounts to face a boiling sea. Armed only with a fishing line and some lures, the fishermen of this far western Brittany only get from the sea what it is willing to give them. With each outing, they risk their lives for one of the fish most in demand on the French coast: sea bass.
